Padel is played in doubles on an enclosed court measuring 10m wide by 20m long. The rules allow for the use of the back and sidewalls, resulting in longer rallies and a whole lot more fun. But who needs walls when you can also run outside the court to hit the ball back into play!
Padel has exactly the same scoring as tennis but in other ways, Padel North Ryde does things slightly differently. An underarm serve and the ability to hit the ball off the glass and fence ads an extra element not found in regular tennis. The rules are easy to learn and master but if you have any problems, our friendly staff will be there to help you get started.
A padel racquet is solid foam, removing the need for strings. It is smaller and more compact than a tennis racquet, making it easier to handle. Padel balls are also slightly smaller and less pressured to adapt to the game with a fence. Regular sports shoes and sports clothing are the most appropriate items to wear whilst playing.
Padel Sydney North Ryde runs Social Padel, matches, tournaments and coaching. We also offer the sport to schools, juniors, birthday parties and corporate events.
There is truly something for everyone no matter what your skill level or experience.
